In human life, for a purpose to be fulfilled, there must be clarity about what the purpose entails. Such an eye-opening event will automatically lead us, on the path to achievement.

Although the end goal is to achieve our purpose, without determination, all that we’ve dreamt of, will only be in the dreamland. Our clarity amounts to nothing. It’s like having the answers to life questions but not being willing to make use of it. Another problem is not knowing "how".

As a sojourner, in the ecosystem of a #startup , it is very necessary for us to have a clear vision about what we’re going to do, and the specific role we’re meant to play. The mistake everyone is making is that we all want to be founders in a leading niche - #Fintech, Edtech, E-commerce et cetera. I don’t want to believe such motives are being backed up, by the huge values we’re seeing, from various funding rounds.

Just like the world we dwell in, we have several players, and each one of us is catching out. We are social animals, which formed the basics that, we can’t stand alone. We need to work hand in hand, to make things so "easy" for us. We have the mechanics, who repair vehicles, and Doctors, who treat the sick ones. Also, we have farmers, who provide food and teachers, who enlighten us. Imagine a world of uniformity, where everyone is the same, do things the same way, and thinks the same. Now, imagine the possible outcome. So also, in the startup ecosystem.

In the ecosystem lies great people of virtue, who are really doing well, making changes and impacts, and still making their cool money. There, we have Toyin Bamidele (Batel) , a policy maker; Seun Ogunyemi, a product manager at FirstFounders Inc. - a venture capital firm; Ngozi Nwabueze, Founder of Pocketlawyers - a legal startup, aimed at supporting startups, in their early stages, with legal activities.

Techcrunch , Nairametrics , Techpoint Africa , and TechCabal are playing their roles, as media outlets. They also are #startups .

Several roles in the ecosystem are Founder, Co-founder, Talent, Mentor/Advisor, Legal Entities, Accelerators and Incubators, Hubs and Co-working spaces, Investors and Venture Capital firms, and Media.

And now, we’re having a new role in the system which is advocacy - Startup Advocate.

Conclusively, we shouldn’t be moved by the name, nor the remuneration but, by the impact, we’re going to make. Once that is done, others will follow.
